We will give you some general maintenance tips:
You can clean your jewelry with lukewarm water and a little detergent and ammonia. Brush your jewelry with a soft toothbrush and rinse them under a tap. For pearls is another maintenance advice.
Store your jewelry in a safe place, preferably in a locked, hidden safe. Make sure your jewelry ‘space’ have. When they are placed together in a box, which can cause scratches. A specially designed jewelry box with separate compartments is therefore the most suitable.
Wear your pearls as much as possible. Your body protects this natural product against external influences. Pearls are sensitive to chemicals, such as cosmetics, perfumes, deodorants, hairspray. Wear your pearls so, meaning that you can watch that no moisturizer, hairspray or perfume on pearls come. Wear your pearls throughout the day, even in the shower or in the bath or during exercise (sweating is not a problem).
There is a big difference between a quartz watch and a watch with a mechanical movement. In both cases it is wise to your watch inspected annually.
With a quartz movement can best battery replaced every 3 years and the watch cleaned. A mechanical watch is rinsed and cleaned by our professionals. Possibly there must be parts of the timepiece replaced.
Other maintenance tips:
– Do not expose your watch to extreme heat or cold and is advised to not go into the water with a leather strap.
– Wear a watch with a leather strap not every day. The band is then allowed to dry, so it takes less unpleasant odors.
– Wind an automatic watch (a watch that winds itself) himself once after a few weeks. This keeps the oil in the timepiece liquid which extend the lifetime.
-Wear your watch is not too tight or too loose. This allows your watchband faster wear.
